Marketplace Fee Policy

Posting a project on PriceFair is free for homeowners, and joining is free for providers. There are no per-lead charges.

When a homeowner selects an offer, the homeowner pays a PriceFair booking payment equal to 10 percent of the accepted offer price, through PriceFair, at the moment of selection. This payment is part of the accepted total price. It is never added on top of the price the customer agreed to. PriceFair retains this payment as its marketplace and introduction fee for creating and facilitating the introduction.

The remaining 90 percent of the accepted price is payable directly to the provider under the terms of the accepted offer. PriceFair does not invoice the provider for this fee and does not collect the remaining balance.

Example: on an accepted price of $2,000, the homeowner pays $200 to PriceFair when they select the offer, and $1,800 remains payable to the provider. The customer's total stays $2,000.

The percentage and terms in effect when an offer is accepted are recorded with the transaction and are not changed by later updates to this policy. Refund decisions for the booking payment are made case by case under the Terms of Service, with review by the PriceFair team; this policy makes no automatic refund promises.
